I have used this app for two days and I can say the app has been responsive and experience has been impressive. While the experience and design is very basic, you still get the usual and key experience like notification, posting status updates, sharing, likes, pages, and messages etc you get in the main Facebook app. The app is just about 262KB in size much lower than the 25MB Facebook Android app and its interphase looking like a web page version.
This app is an optimized version for low-end Android devices, not only is the app optimized for entry level Android devices, it also works well with 2G connections and in areas with low internet connection.
Facebook recently releases a smaller and lighter version of its app called Facebook Lite.
